It's a Better Ride with Jesus...
King Solomon once wrote, "...there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which one can say, 'Look! This is something new' "? Some folks today may think that the New Year is no big deal; everything remains the same. Still, others feel that a new year gives them a milepost to gauge what has happened in the past and what possibilities lie in the future. People have been doing this for eons, even in ancient Rome a god named Janus had two faces, one looking at the past and one to the future.
So let me ask, what's in store for your new year? Or are you too busy making a living to think about it? May I suggest something? Have you considered going back to church now that you're on your own...or your children are grown...or you finally have time to get "a round tuit"? The Bridge is a different kind of church. I think it's what the early Christians did before church buildings even shilouetted the skyline.
Let me invite you to The Bridge. You will find us very friendly, casual, non-judgmental and we meet in a place that has no pews, pulpit, scoffers or pretenders. The Bridge does have cafe tables, chairs and a couple of sofas for your comfort. Come casually dressed a bit early and enjoy refreshments and conversation. Enjoy a relevant message, and time of worship on Sunday afternoons--you can sleep in on Sunday mornings and leave our service in time to prepare or go out for supper. What could be better?
So go ahead, look into the new year with hopeful anticipation.
